TATA MOTORS LAUNCHED JAGUAR, LAND ROVER IN INDIA
The largest automaker company of India Tata Motors had made a long history in a car manufacturing field, and it had produced many cars with attractive styling and exciting engines. Now, this company launched their luxury cars called ‘Jaguar’ and ‘Land Rover’ in India. Tata Motors acquired these luxury vehicles from the US car maker ‘Ford Motors’ in the March of last year. Tata Motors has launched three models in each of Jaguar and Land Rover. The Jaguar models include XF, XFR and the XKR and the Land Rover Models include Discovery 3, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover. These imported cars will be first hit Mumbai and after that it will drive to Ludhiana and Bengaluru. Tata Motors will sell the Jaguar Models, XF and XKR series for between Rs 63 lakh and Rs 92 lakh, while Land Rover’s Discovery and Range Rover would be priced between Rs 63 lakh and Rs 89 lakh. The features of the Jaguar XF base includes 4.2L V-8 300HP engine, 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, navigation system, side seat mounted airbags, curtain 1st and 2nd row overhead airbags, airbag occupancy sensor, automatic, 18″ alloy wheels, cruise control, and an ABS and drive line traction control. The 2009 LR2 is a 4-door, 5-passenger luxury sport-utility, available in one trim only, the HSE. Upon introduction, the LR2 is equipped with a standard 3.2-liter, I6, 230-horse power engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. Hope that these two luxury cars would give Indian car lovers an opportunity to experience the pleasure of driving the superior technology.

In India, it provides products and services in five categories such as passenger cars, commercial passenger carriers, utility vehicles, defense vehicles and trucks. In passenger cars section it offers Indica Vista, Indigo XL, Indica V2, Indigo, Indica V2 Turbo, Indigo Marina, Indica V2 Xeta, Indigo CS, Indica V2 Dicor and Fiat Cars. In utility vehicle’s section, it offers Safari Dicor, Sumo and Sumo Grande. Today, Tata Motors had made a history in manufacturing field because it produced world’s cheapest car ‘Tata Nano’ with price of Rs. 1 lakh. Tata Motors had won a number of awards. In 2004, Tata Motors got itself listed on the NYSE and won the ‘CII-Exim Bank award’ in 2005. In 2006, Tata Motors had been recognized as the greatestbrand in automobiles in India and also been conferred with title of ‘Commercial Vehicle Manufacturer’ of 2006. TRAKIT of Tata Motors had won silver award for ‘Excellence in Design’. Tata Motors Pune -CVBU had won “Golden Peacock National Quality Award”. Tata Motors received four esteemed awards at ‘CNBC TV18 – Autocar Auto Awards’. It won NDTV Profit Business Leadership Award 2008. It was conferred with EEPC’s Top Exporter Trophy. It had received ‘Uptime Champion Award’ in 2007 and ‘National Award’ for Excellence in Cost Management.
